VESPERS AND ADORATION: At Good Shepherd parish, Wed., November 7, 7:00 p.m. All are invited to participate. The Vespers will be followed by a 30 minute period of adoration.
Environment Committee: We would like to invite all parishioners of the parish who are or who have been members of the Canadian Military, Royal Canadian Mounted Police to identify themselves to the parish office. It is our hope that you will participate in our Parish Remembrance Tribute which will take place at the 5pm mass on Saturday November 10th. If you are a Scout, Guide or Cadet we invite you to join in by wearing your uniform.
Thank You to all who helped make our Harvest Potluck Dinner such a successful Fundraiser for the parish. A special thank you to our Fundraising team. The event raised over $4,000.00 for the parish.
Green Team: The Good Shepherd parish is seeking an adult volunteer to spearhead a “Green Team” (our contribution to the welfare of our planet). If interested, please call the office for details.
The Good Shepherd CWL Annual Craft, Bake and Gift Fair Sat. Nov. 3, 8:30am – 2:00pm Dear Parishioners, your contribution of baked good for the Nov. 3rd CWL Craft Fair bake table is requested. They can be dropped off on Fri. Nov. 2 between 2 - 4 in the afternoon or 6 - 8 in the evening. Many thanks.

The Good Shepherd Widows and Widowers Friendship Group monthly meeting, normally held on the third Thursday, has been moved to this Thursday, November 1, 2007, at 7:30 p.m. in the social space. The Group offers friendship and informal support within a Christian setting to widows and widowers. New members are always welcome. For more information about the group, please contact Pauline Canning or John Reny.
Good Shepherd Knights of Columbus Annual Charity Auction: The Knights of Columbus Council 9005 will be holding its annual charity auction in support of the Christmas food hamper program for less fortunate families, on Friday, November 16 at 7:00 pm. Come out and participate in an evening of fun, find a treasure and support your community. All are welcome. For information, please contact Jim Haskill.
Opening Oct. 26 "Bella," a romantic drama by Alejandro Monteverde, was the surprise winner of the top award at the Toronto Film Festival It is a beautiful pro life story, written and directed by a young catholic man from Mexico. It is a special movie that has so many wonderful teachings based on Catholicism. Opening weekend attendance will determine if the movie is retained in major theatres.
Making a Will – A Lasting Legacy: Please consider a gift to your Parish in your will as a lasting and beneficial testimony of faith.

Our financial requirements are approx. $7,000 per week to support our approx. $2,000 a week mortgage payment, any excess is used to pay the finishing construction costs or to pay down the mortgage. Thank you for your generous weekly support of Good Shepherd Parish. The parish will be sending out our regular update to the parish via mail shortly. If you have moved in the last year, please call the office with your new address.

This will be a time to network and share ideas with others involved in pastoral care, and a time for discussion on issues related to Pastoral Care in the diocese.
