Today we celebrate the One whom John the Baptizer named Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. He is Jesus who calls us to be holy.
Admission of Candidates to the Permanent Diaconate: On Sunday January 20, Archbishop Terrence Prendergast will celebrate the 9:00 am Eucharist at Good Shepherd Parish and admit to candidacy several men who are studying for the Permanent Diaconate. Kevin Foley and Ron MacRae of Good Shepherd Parish are among the candidates. Please join us for this celebration followed by a reception in the social space. The Archbishop looks forward to meeting many parishioners.
Father Thomas Dougherty has asked for our prayers. Father visits relatives of our parish every few years from Kenya. His community is presently in the middle of the fighting and they have lost all. Please pray for his safety and the safety of his fellow clergy.

Parish Breakfast: The Knights of Columbus will host our Parish Breakfast on Sunday, January 27 after the 9:00 and 11:15 am masses. Tickets will be on sale after masses this weekend.

REMINDER to children receiving Confirmation & First Eucharist this year. The next required Mass and Catechesis Session is Sunday, Feb. 3 and Feb. 10 at the 9:00 am Mass. They are required to attend one of these Sunday Masses and stay for the half-hour of instruction afterwards. Also the next Parent & Child meeting is Tues. Feb. 19 and Thurs. Feb. 21 at 7:00 PM. Both parent and child are required to attend one of these meeting dates and bring the completed workbook "Come Join Us at the Table" along with the address of church where child was baptized and name and complete address of your child's sponsor.
