World Day of Prayer for Vocations: On the fourth Sunday of Easter, Christians are invited to reflect on the meaning of God’s call and to pray for vocations. A collection for vocations will take place this weekend.
DIOCESAN WEEK FOR LIFE 2008
The Diocesan Week for Life beginning with Pro-Life Sunday, May 4th and ending on May 10th, answers this call of the Holy Father to promote the protection of all human life from the moment of conception until natural death. This celebration includes the annual National March for Life on May 8th. (see the bulletin board for schedule). Please join us on Parliament Hill to impress on our Federal Government and the people of Canada that all human life must be protected under the law-from the womb to the tomb!! Members of the Knights of Columbus will be at the gathering space after Mass with prayer cards for Pope Benedict XVI's Apostolic Journey to the United States April 15 - 20, 2008. Please stop by and pick up your prayer card.

The Good Shepherd Widows and Widowers Friendship Group is holding its regular monthly meeting this Thursday, April 17, 2008, at 7:30 p.m. in the social space.  The Group is not a bereavement group but a social club that offers friendship and informal support.  New members are always welcome.  For more information about the group, please contact Pauline Canning  or John Reny.
