Ascension of the Lord
May 4, 2008
When we celebrate the Ascension of the Lord, we recognize that as Christ is seated in glory at the Father’s right hand, so too will all men and women share in this glory
In accordance with the diocese and The Responsible Ministry, we must ensure the protection and safety of all the people of God - the vulnerable, volunteers, paid staff, and indeed, the Church itself.  This requires that our database be kept up-to-date with each volunteer's current status regarding ministry involvement.  If you are involved in a high risk ministry, you will be periodically requested to update your police records check status.  Should you receive a request from the parish, we would ask that you kindly present the letter and 2 pieces of ID (1 must be a photo ID) at your nearest Community Police Centre.  If you have any questions, please contact the office for clarification.  Thank you for continually giving of your time freely to the parish and your cooperation in this matter.
Father Joseph Muldoon’s Farewell
We really don’t want to say goodbye….so we decided to party instead! Come and celebrate the 8 years of dedication given to us so generously by our pastor, Father Joe. We don’t know yet exactly when he is leaving, but the party is on Saturday, June 14th at 6:30 (after the 5:00 mass). So join us, not to say goodbye, but to show Father how much he means to us and to wish him well as he accepts God’s next challenge.

Weekend to End Breast Cancer

Many thanks for your incredible generosity and support for this very worthy cause.  Thanks to our parishioners, I will meet my fundraising goal and possibly help hundreds of women and their families in the process.  (If you missed me that weekend, you can drop a check off at the Parish office, or visit the website www.endcancer.ca).  Finally, please think of me during the June 7-8 weekend, as I take every last one of those 60 kilometers of steps!  I won't let you down!
