ST. PATRICK'S DAY: Archbishop Prendergast will celebrate Eucharist on St. Patrick's Day, Tues., March 17, 10:30 AM at St. Patrick's Basilica (Kent Street). Everyone is invited to attend.
 
WEDDING ANNIVERSARY EUCHARIST: Notre Dame Cathedral, Sun., May 3, 2:30 PM. NET MINISTRIES OF CANADA – invites you to an evening presentation “Come Meet the Ministry and See How You Can Help”. Tuesday, March 24th at 7:00 PM at the Good Shepherd Parish. His Grace, Archbishop Prendergast, SJ will be a key note speaker at this event.
 
HOLY HOUR OF ADORATION will be held each Wednesday throughout Lent, 7PM at the parish.  Please consider joining us for a prayerful close to the day; it is a Lenten sacrifice of time for God, and a precious quiet moment. ANNUAL FLOWER & DECORATING FUND.
We are preparing to celebrate the church’s major Feast of the Liturgical Year – Easter and the subsequent 50 Days of Easter. Your generosity in the past has been very much appreciated and we thank you. You can help beautify our church with a cash donation in the specially marked envelopes which will be in the bulletins this week-end March 7th/8th. If you wish to remember a loved one or to commemorate a special event in your lives please note that on your envelope. We thank you for your continued support which enables us to do what we do.
FR. JOHN BARTUNEK, LC, author of "The Better Part" (a Christ-centered Resource for Personal Prayer) and "Inside the Passion" will be coming to The Good Shepherd Parish on Monday, March 9, 2008 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM to give a Lenten reflection. The theme of the reflection is "Carrying Our Crosses Faithfully With Christ." Father John provided spiritual support on the set of The Passion of the Christ, has been a religious commentator on CNN, Fox and the BBC.  He presently teaches church history and pursues his writing apostolate.

DEVELOPMENT AND PEACE, which is the international development agency of the Catholic Church of Canada, supports projects that attack the root causes of poverty and injustice - projects that encourage social change to help people become self sufficient. Examples of the kind of initiatives that are funded include housing and farm cooperatives, training for community organizers, human rights improvements and adult education.  There will be a special Share Lent collection on Solidarity Sunday, March 28-29.
 
PALLIATIVE CARE PRESENTATIONS:  "Palliative Care for the Dying: Myths and Realities" with Dr. Louise Coulombe, palliative care physician, Sat., March 28, 9:30 - 11:30 AM.; "Palliative Care: Living Your Life with Dignity" with Maryse Bouvette, RN, pain and symptom management consultant, Thurs., May 14, 7:00 - 9:00 PM. 40 DAYS OF LIFE People of faith throughout Ottawa are invited to take part in the International 40 Days for Life Campaign 25 February - 5 April. The campaign is fully endorsement by his Grace, Archbishop Terrence Prendergast. During the last campaign the lives of at least 3 Ottawa babies were saved. This non political, prayful campaign consists of silently standing vigil and praying across from the abortion facility at 65 Bank Street and provides an opportunity pray for all victims of abortion. Taizé weekend in Ottawa
