Communicants may receive under both species. Communicants may receive the Host in the hand or on the tongue. If you choose to receive from the Chalice, a eucharistic minister will be holding the chalice for this purpose. Dipping a host in the Chalice is not permitted. Those who do not wish to receive communion are welcome to join the communion line to ask for a blessing. To ask for a blessing, cross both arms over the chest. According to Catholic teaching, one must be in a state of grace to receive communion. Confessions are heard Saturdays 3:30 to 4:30 pm. |
